Farewell and Greetings

It is with great sadness and a sense of awesome reflection that I make this announcement. My witty and sharp mild mannered co-host of three years and more importantly a good friend who I respect and care about has retired from Steel City Resistance. He is not leaving out of animosity or anything negatively related to the show.

Producing a podcast, especially one that is as passionate as ours is a stressful endeavor. Ward decided he had to get away from it for his own wellbeing.  I certainly wish it wasn’t to be, especially at this time in the shows history and future which I will get to in a minute. Ward and I had a real partnership that was something that really made me look forward to Sunday nights. His signature rants and situational awareness were second to none. There will be a hole in the studio on the one hand, but I also feel like a winner to claim I shared the airwaves with Ward for over 120 hours of top notch opinion journalism. Fearless and in your face I wish him nothing but happiness. Stay tuned to Burghseyeview, he’s funny as hell too.

Now for a State of the Show report. Mr. Ja (pronounced Jay) from Orlando FL will pick up co-host duties upon Wards recommendation and Mr. Ja’s acceptance. We have recently been picked up at the 405 Radio out of Los Angeles and SCR runs several times a week there. I recently watched a Spreecast episode of It’s Your Turn w/ Wayne Dupree (NewsNinja2012) and activated my webcam just in case. Much to my surprise Wayne brought me on the show, I gave my best outspoken pitch and I’ve been on every episode since. A couple weeks ago he asked me to come on his radio show, The Wayne Dupree show on the 405 and I had a great time. I asked them if they had any more slots so I could think about doing a live show and the producer said only if I could bring a big time sponsor, so that was out. Last week he had to go to New York to be on Hannity and he asked me to take over his show for the entire week and the Spreecast after that. During the last day of the Wayne Dupree show John, the producer asked if I was still interested in a live show as the 405 Radio had gone 24/7. Cutting to the chase Cold War Radio will air Monday nights with Mr. Ja and I. This show will have call ins and we can’t wait to launch on 1 July. So Sunday 7PM SCR, Mr Ja will activate SCR Southern Command and we will begin a new era with Cold War Radio (CWR) out of LA. SCR is now available for audio subscription via itunes and Stitcher and who knows where else and the video version of the show is available at SCRTV on Spreecast.

Let me just say thank you to you Ward we had a great run and I learned a great deal. I hope we can run into each other in our travels. Mr. Ja, I welcome you to the lowest paying job that you work your butt off at.

How many times have you heard that lately? Since the attack at Newtown, it is on the news almost every day. Here is the problem, anti-gun lobbyists are trying to use what happened in Aurora, and Newtown as a backdrop for their grand gun grabbing design. On top of that they paint it that if you are against gun control, you hate children. But you know what the lame stream media isn’t telling you? The movie theater in the Aurora attack was a “gun free” zone, as was the elementary school in Newtown. Making guns harder to get only hampers the law abiding citizen. Criminals will continue to get guns, and continue to break the law until somebody wises up. The idea that you can legislate this problem away is borderline psychotic. No amount of laws would have prevented James Holmes from committing the heinous act he did in Aurora. CRIMINALS IGNORE LAWS! That is what is key.
I have heard the proposed gun laws are similar to controlling drunk driving by preventing sober people from buying cars. Even though it sounds insane, that’s what the whole law is. In fact, if you want to get into an argument with a liberal, bring that little nugget up, but buckle up because they will start to yell that you don’t care about the children and are racist.
In fact I have no idea why ANYONE gives any credence to anything, written or said by Piers Morgan or Jim Carrey. Why do a Brit and a Canadian feel as though they can comment on our guaranteed 2nd amendment rights?
Chicago has one of the most stringent gun laws in the country, and leads the country in gun murders. How is that possible? Guns aren’t permitted, so how are so many people being killed? Last year there were more people killed in Chicago than were killed in Afghanistan. Which is an active combat zone. So what does that tell you about gun bans? They don’t work.
That’s my thoughts, leave yours in the comments.

Audio is tough, but we represented baby

Well the American people have spoken. Obama has been re-elected, but what did we get by re-electing Obama? President Joe Biden. I also hope the Main Stream Media is patting itself on the back by hiding the facts about the Benghazi cover up, Fast and Furious gun running, FEMA and Hurricane Sandy. It borders on criminal what the media has done. Any way back to my original point, President Joe Biden. In the coming weeks Congress will be holding hearings about Benghazi, and the truth will come out. There are too many people that know what went on. The other BIG story that has yet to be reported is the Ft. Hood workplace violence (terrorist attack). This isn’t being covered in the media either. We the people NEED to start demanding the media tell the truth about Benghazi, FEMA failures, Ft. Hood, Fast and Furious, and on and on.

The reason the Freedom of the Press was built into the constitution, is for the press (media) to be OUR watchdog. To expose the shady things going on in the government. The MSM has sat on their hands and has done everything in their power to keep the American people in the dark. What happened to the press that exposed Watergate? At least in Watergate no one died unlike Benghazi where we have 4 Americans dead, while the MSM said nothing about the fact that the administration LIED. To blame the deaths of four Americans on a YouTube video for 3 weeks, then information comes out that the Ambassador had asked for more security THIRTEEN times and was denied, or that the White House and State department watched the attack real time. That tells me they knew what was going on immediately, but continued to lie to the American people.

So by the law of averages you have at least one friend or relative that voted for Obama, congratulate them when Biden is sworn into office.

This article is being written as a pre-emptive strike against all of the Obama sheep out there. We are one of the sites suggesting that Allen West be selected Vice-President. (only because he elected not to run on his own). We also endorsed Herman Cain when he was still in the running. So no, we are not judging the President or any other candidate on the color of their skin. We are however judging them on their decisions. President Obama has led from behind at every opportunity, failed to keep any of his campaign promises. (Remember the most transparent administration in history?) That has nothing to do with the color of his skin but more to his lack of character.

We can go even further with his lack of a grasp on the economy. On June 11th the President declared that the private sector was “doing fine”, only to have to try to walk that back later.

All of the issues in the mid-east, Syria, Iran, not to mention attacking Libya WITHOUT Congressional approval. The uprising in Egypt, the turning of his back on our only major ally in the region Israel.

I guess a better question to ask yourself is “Name one positive thing that this president has done?” Can you name anything? For his first 2 years his party held the Oval, Congress and the Senate, yet the only notable legislation they were able to pass was the “Affordable Health Care Act.” (Which should get overturned by the Supreme Court soon,) Now name something. Under this president he has increased our national debt, more people are unemployed or under-employed. His administration has a strangle hold on the coal industry, the oil industry and the manufacturing industry.

America is a great and resilient country. Americans have overcome, and persevered before and I am sure that we will do it again. How? They same way Americans always have, with a steel resolve that no other country can understand. We will get through this mess that we are in and make this country the shining beacon of freedom she once was.

I am not an economist, but I like to think I have common sense. Instead of trying to figure out how to spend our way out of our problems, why not allow Americans do what they do best. The longest journey starts with a single step. First thing we do is allow business to thrive. Remove the power and treat of the EPA. Let’s face it, the only thing the EPA succeeds in, is putting people out of work and closing businesses. The EPA is responsible for manufacturing jobs to leave this country, by fining them into submission. Finding ANYTHING with a Made in the USA tag is a thing of the past. But yet these goods are still being made. How is that possible? The companies have removed all the manufacturing out of the jurisdiction of the EPA. The same exhaust is still being blown into the air at a higher concentration and rate that it ever was in the US. So the bottom line is, the only thing the EPA has succeeded in getting rid of is jobs. Their next target will be the coal industry. For those of you that don’t remember, here is the President’s quote in his own words. ““So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.” How can anyone from West Virginia have voted for him as generations of families there has made their livelihood mining coal.

I know I got a little off topic.

Are we Racist?  No.
Are we stupid? Hell NO!

Many people out there voted for this president to prove they weren’t racist. Now vote against him to prove you aren’t stupid

When I enlisted I took this oath:

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Nothing in this oath states anything about an expiration date. Therefore all former and current military members are bound to this oath for life. This is one of the reasons that I am, the way I am. I am proud to be an American. I stand at the national anthem as well as the Pledge of Allegiance. I will NEVER apologize for this. Also BECAUSE of this oath I will do everything in my power to point out the attempted tyranny coming from Washington.

If you have taken this oath at some time in your life it is your DUTY to protect and defend the Constitution. If you have not taken this oath, feel free to do so now. Our country needs you now more than ever.

We fired Google!

As you have noticed, we have moved our site from Blogspot (which is owned by Google), We have changed our email address to no longer use gmail, we no longer use Google Docs to create the show notes. Why? You ask, simple. Hutch and I have a very strong sense of patriotism. and we have said many times that we will defend this country in any way we can. and that is where this came from. Google have gone out of their way to commemorate various days, for example the birth of Pac man and so forth. This week was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Tuesday’s commemoration on the Google home page was for Russian Day. (which we do not have a problem with). The problem came when they refused to do the same for Flag Day which was Thursday. So we had a discussion and decided to fire Google. I have canceled the email addresses. They will no longer be monitored, and after a week or so we will be deleting the site on blogspot, we just want to give our visitors a chance to see we moved to WordPress.

We would also urge you to do the same. This is an American company that can’t do a simple tribute on Flag Day but can celebrate Russian Worker day, Screw them. There are plenty of free services out there that provide free email addresses, hotmail, yahoo, and on and on. If it is web hosting WordPress works like a champ. I was even able to import all of our content with the click of a button.

If it looks like we are unapologetic Americans, you’re right. This is our little way of saying “NO MORE”.

Let us know what you think in the comments.
