Get your facts right, it is not Islamic or Islam, slavery has been part of the african tribal ideology. And if you care to research Islamic history, see how it abolished it. It was only and still is HUMAN behaviorism that inculcated this idea of dominating others.

Watch this on TED , http://www.ted.com/talks/lisa_kristine_glimpses_of_modern_day_slavery.html.

    • Hutch Jr. says:

I’m sorry but you are confused. Arab muslims have been enslaving black Africans for 17 hundred years. It is highly documented, just not taught. Enslaving non muslims is written into the trilogy of islamic teachings.

  2. souskueaizen says:

how am I confused?, I know my facts, and hence I am telling you the difference in differentiating between Islam the religion and people. Very easy to understand and comprehend.
Also the WEST enslaved Africans too. ( America to Europe. ). And as you were posting something on Sudan, which is why I wrote what I did.

  3. souskueaizen says:

Also provide for me the FACTS, of slavery in Islamic trilogy. Real facts and not some just random google sites.

    • Hutch Jr. says:

Islam is not a religion, it is a political system with religious overtones. The real story of slavery and the west is that Americans, specifically Republicans, were able to eradicate slavery in the Western Hemisphere in a mere 300 years. A harsh and shameful 300 years, but far less savage than 17 centuries.

  4. Hutch Jr. says:

Here is an interesting page where a muslim group tries to take the edge off their keeping of slaves http://muttaqun.com/slavery.html

  5. souskueaizen says:

You seem to fail to understand something very simple. What has an ARAB, a name given to a person living in the Arabian peninsula and Islam?. Islam is a religion, and yes possibly has political ideologies. But what has not?. You follow and obey the ideology of the country you live in. It tells you to jump and you do. Its media is the tool that states when and how high you jump, when told.

Also you just answered what I have been telling you, about slavery. Islam says NO to Slavery, because it was prevalent in pre islamic times and continues still today, in all societies. Hence why those verses state, to FREE A SLAVE. So in this manner, as the human nature likes to dominate, when committing a sin, they are told one of the ways to expiate oneself is to FREE A SLAVE. Now if you consider the bigger picture, this would mean, as we ALL sin ( do wrong ), then if we had slaves, we would free them. Hence slavery gets abolished.

Now, look at the other aspect, who owns slaves?. mostly the wealthy, how many wealthy people are there in relation to poor people today, right now in this world?, arent we all slaves of our bosses, working like dogs each day to put food on the table?.

So once again I reiterate, the people who inslave others are not following the religion, because they are contradicting what it states.

slavery part of african tribal ideology.

But question is why are you obsessed with Arabs and Islam? because facts state other wise.

    Slavery in the 21st Century

Slavery still exists today. Whether it is called human trafficking, bonded labor, forced labor, or sex trafficking, it is present worldwide, including within the United States and, increasingly, in your local community.

An estimated 12 – 27 million people are caught in one or another form of slavery. Between 600,000 and 800,000 are trafficked internationally, with as many as 17,500 people trafficked into the United States. Nearly three out of every four victims are women. Half of modern-day slaves are children.

  6. souskueaizen says:

I just posted something and it seems not to have gone through,.
    To keep it simple.

In pre islamic times the WEALTHY, liked to keep slaves, same idea all over the world. This verses are telling people, that to expiate from sin, FREE A SLAVE. So if they had slaves, they would have to follow the condition, and in the bigger picture slavery would be eradicated from the human behaviorism of human ownership of that time. So now if people still follow this idea of human ownership, it has nothing to do with the religion but the people.

Look, the bottom line is that in order to free a slave you must “own” a slave. If you believe in freedom and equality then you don’t need to preach to me, you need to preach to the evil muslims killing people in the name of Allah all over the world. I rarely hear protests to the horrible way women are mutilated and subjugated in some muslim communities. I have to give them or you credit for masking the truth through the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, The Muslim Students Association and an asleep western world. When I see arguments (deflections) like yours Al-taqiyya comes to mind. I am an American and I have been to several countries in the middle east, I’ve also seen muslims celebrating the murder of Americans right here with my own eyes. The truth is the truth and it will set you free.
